In May 2006, after three years of intense commitment and hard work, I received my Master of Public Health from San Francisco State University.

This portfolio was created to display the dynamic and multi-faceted nature of my MPH academic work while highlighting the framework that I approach public health with. It highlights my fight for the optimum health of all peoples on this planet.

As a politically and socially conscious woman of African descent, I have dedicated my life's work to be a healer for the world community. I take the disparities in health and the injustices in healthcare delivery as a personal affront. 

My personal power has no bounds as I move forward to address the social determinants that create the health inequities that disproportionately plague communities of color! My already strong sense of social justice is now coupled with a public health context that will enhance my impact in yet unseen ways.
